Steven Kurcan


Steve’s career covers all aspects of major development and redevelopment projects in both the public and private sectors exceeding $500,000,000 in value. Steve brings valuable expertise in both private and public sector development, giving Echelon and our clients a unique perspective on any real estate project. Steve’s substantive expertise and congenial personality has justifiably created an extensive network of people who like him, and people who like to work with him.

Prior to joining Echelon, Steve served as Vice President of Development for Grady Pridgen, Inc. of St. Petersburg, Florida. In this role Steve was responsible for governmental relations for the company, as well as negotiating and obtaining development entitlements and permitting for major redevelopment projects. Steve was instrumental in obtaining the entitlements for 4,500 residential units, 1 million square feet of industrial, 1 million square feet of retail and 6 million square feet of office uses in development projects emphasizing live, work and recreational concepts.

Steve has also served as Vice President of Asset Management for Bankers Financial Corporation developing 1,000 residential units in both multifamily and assisted living communities and as Director of Downtown Redevelopment for the City of St. Petersburg.
